December in Vedic astrology
In the sidereal zodiac used for Kundli, the Sun moves from Scorpio (Vrishchik) into Sagittarius (Dhanu) around December 16. That day is Dhanu Sankranti, which begins Kharmas, a month when weddings and new ventures are traditionally avoided. Your Indian rashi is usually based on the Moon instead of the Sun, so the quickest way to know it is your free Kundli or the Moon sign calculator.
