How transits are read in Vedic astrology
Vedic astrology reads transits mainly from the Moon sign (Chandra lagna) and also from the Lagna. Slow planets matter most: Saturn spends about 2½ years in a sign, Jupiter about a year, and Rahu–Ketu about 18 months.
Good and difficult transit houses
- Jupiter gives good results in the 2nd, 5th, 7th, 9th and 11th from the Moon.
- Saturn gives good results in the 3rd, 6th and 11th; the 12th, 1st and 2nd form Sade Sati.
- Rahu and Ketu favour the 3rd, 6th and 11th.
